I have a good eye for design and understand the need to balance the sometimes conflicting demands of text, pics and white space when it comes to designing and laying out pages.
I’ve had hands-on experience of Quark XPress and InDesign, the most widely-used publishing software, and am used to liaising with and briefing professional graphic designers and layout artists.
Quite apart from the writing and subbing aspects of publishing, I am competent at co-ordinating and overseeing the production process from raw copy through layout to pre-press and print.
